Ron has served as Associational Missionary since June 1, 2014. He and his wife Paulette have 3 grown children – John (Olivia), Jerry (Shannon), and Paula (Phillip). He has 6 grandchildren.  Prior to pastoring five years in Sumter, Ron was a North American Mission Board home missionary, serving as an Air Force chaplain for 26 years.  He has lived all over our country and world, seeing and doing missions in many diverse places.  His ministry passion is to faithfully obey the Biblical mandates to lift up Jesus Christ through life-changing worship, intentional discipleship, joyous fellowship of believers, effective community outreach and aggressive sharing the gospel of grace, the hope of our world. Ron is a graduate of North Greenville University, Furman University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.



Kathy has served with the Kershaw Baptist Association since October 1989.  She has two grown children – Holly (Mark) Becker and Travis (Suzanna) Hall.  She has five grandchildren: Mila, Eli, and Siler Becker, and Lilli and Gracie Hall. Kathy is a member of First Baptist Church, Camden, and has lived in Camden her entire life.  She is the coordinator of the Sacks of Love Ministry. She served as the 2016 Recording Secretary for the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and the 2012-2014 president of the South Carolina Baptist Ministry Assistants Association.
